The Center for the Study of Chinese Foreign Policy (CFP Fudan) was established in June of 2007, affiliated to the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University. At present, the academic sector consists of 1 professor, 1 assistant professor, 4 adjunct researchers and Professor Ren Xiao takes up the post of Director of CFP Fudan.
Highlighted Academic Yields
With concerted support of the Institute and Fudan while in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MFA), veteran diplomats have been appointed by the MFA to engage in academic researches, initiating a new type of interaction between the academia and the diplomatic community in universities and research institutions nationwide. Nine Chinese diplomats, commissioned to facilitate the implementation of projects in line with the expected results, harvest the affirmation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which in turn enormously boost the practice successively
International Conferences and Symposiums
“New Approaches to Human Security in Asia” was co-organized and held by CFP Fudan, The Australian National University, Tokyo University and Osaka University in September 2011.
The international seminar themed “Origin and Transformation of China's Foreign Policy” was held by CFP Fudan and the Center for Contemporary China Studies of Durham University in March 2010,
The Symposium on China's Diplomacy on the Occasion of the 60th Anniversary was co-run with the Northeast Asia Research Center, NBR in October 2009.
CFP Fudan jointly convened a domestic Seminar on Think Tanks and foreign policies both at home and abroad with the Center for Peace and Development in East Asia, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in October 2008，
