At 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019, the Center for China’s Relations with Neighboring Countries at Fudan University released the Debut Issue of Fudan Reports on China-ASEAN Relations, entitled "China-U.S. Strategic Competition & Policy Adjustment and Trends in Southeast Asia". The report authored by seven Chinese academic experts inclusive of five young scholars at Fudan University, as well as five acadmics from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam, encompassed in-depth analyses on regional strategy, defense policy, regional economic integration policy and spillover effect of China-U.S. strategic competition on political economy in Southeast Asia, delivering mindset intersections with regard to the identical domains, conducive to eilciting reflections amidst the readership. Furthermore, the interview featuring Mr. Zhang Jiuhuan constituted an integral part of the report. Mr. Zhang served as Director-General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Singapore and Thailand through credentials of diplomatic service.
