The 10th Doctoral Academic Workshop on “Authoring Doctoral Dissertation Proposals” Organized by the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University

  On the afternoon of November 19th, 2019, the 10th Doctoral Academic Workshop (“Yucheng Study Group”) organized by the Institute of International Studies themed with “Authoring Doctoral Dissertation Proposals” was convened in Auditorium 212, Center for American Studies, Fudan University, which solicited Ph.D. Candidate LUO Yanqi and Ph.D. Candidate HUANG Zhenqian at the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University as the keynote presenters. Research Associate WANG Guangtao at the Institute of International Studies, Fudan University drew upon vibrant commentaries, evoking participatory deliberations accordingly. Over forty postgraduates and doctoral students at the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University presented attendance at the event.

  Into the follow-up segments, Ph.D. Candidate LUO Yanqi related the conceptualized sketch of the thesis proposal on "Military Exchanges and Collaborations between the United States and Asian-Pacific Countries in the Post-Cold War Era—Analyses of Motivation, Patterns and Impacts", elaborating on six constituent "architectural elements" coherent with dissertation proposals.

  Subsequently, Ph.D. Candidate HUANG Zhenqian unfolded fundamentals with regard to procedural dements in composing the thesis proposal on "Political Implications of Land Tenure and Agrarian Reforms in Africa", conducting analytical elucidations in terms of preliminary research design and authoring perplexities encountered in dinstinctive graduation theses projects.


In the ensuing sessions, the audience engaged in commendable interactions with the presenters amidst erudition-lit milieu.

     Integrating the vigorous afore-exchanging perspectives, the commentator noted the insightful propositions to further propel correlated outlook into authoring dissertation proposals with exquisite sagacity.
