On December 3rd, 2019, in the auspice of Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, co-organized by Institute of International Studies and Center for Asia-Pacific Cooperation and Governance, the 2019 International Cooperation Management Program (hereinafter referred to as "ICMP") for Local Authorities in Asia and Oceania proceeded at Fudan University. Mr. ZHU Weimin, Deputy Director-General, Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government addressed welcome remarks and Vice Dean QI Huaigao at the Institute of International Studies, Fudan University presided over the inaugural plenary ceremony. ICMP featured the 7th annual sequential with proactively concerted endeavors, which drew over ten distinguished participants from Dunedin, New Zealand, Port Vila, Vanuatu, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Ankara, Turkey, Bangkok, Thailand, Kathmandu, Nepal, Osaka and Nagasaki, Japan to attend the fabulous program. Research Fellow ZHAO Minghao at the Institute of International Studies and Professor YIN Xingmin at the School of Economics, Fudan University presented thematic lectures with regard to "China’s Foreign Policy in the New Era" and "China's Economic Strategy and Shanghai’s Role in the New Era" successively. The attendants at the event engaged in interactive rounds with the presenters on how to facilitate urban and local governance in Asia and Oceania against the backdrop of the current global context in the respect of blazing eco-compatible trails to foster the sci-tech interworking and sharing with a sound impetus.
