On March 20-22, China Development Forum 2021 was convened online and onsite at Beijing Diaoyutai State Guesthouse as a fabulous hybrid event themed with "China on a New Journey of Modernization". Professor WU Xinbo, Dean of the Institute of International Studies cum Director of Center for American Studies at Fudan University, presented attendance at China Development Forum (CDF) 2021 upon invitation, delivering remarks as the distinguished panelist at Venue: A New Positive List for China-U.S. Cooperation. Professor WU emphatically highlighted that China and the U.S. would spur on collaboration to promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges, formulate codes relating to new technological spheres, as well as strengthen maintenance and improvement of the international order system. To establish favorable conditions for bilateral cooperation, we hope the United States respect China's political system, historical and cultural values. China Development Forum (CDF), sponsored by Development Research Center of the State Council and organized by China Development Research Foundation, has been held annually since 2000 for 22 consecutive sessions, committed to "Engaging with the World for Common Prosperity" and is internationally known as a high-level forum serving as an important dialogue platform for senior officials of the Chinese government, global business leaders, international organizations and renowned scholars.
