Fudan-Harvard China-U.S. Young Leaders Dialogue 2024 Releases Two Research Papers

The Fudan-Harvard China-U.S. Young Leaders Dialogue is a dialogue mechanism initiated by students from Fudan University and Harvard University, with academic guidance and support provided by the Center for American Studies at Fudan University (CAS Fudan). The activity focuses on the divergences and collaborations between China and the United States on emerging global issues, aiming to provide a platform for dialogue and exchange among Chinese and American youth.

Recently, students from Fudan and Harvard engaged in discussions on the topics of China-U.S. Economic and Trade Relations and Cybersecurity and Intellectual Property Protection, resulting in two research papers: Bridging Digital Divides: Navigating Data Governance and Security in the U.S.-China Technological Arena and Green Industrial Policy: Promoting U.S.-China Collaboration on Advancing Environmental Goals. The two research papers are released in Spring 2024, which are advised by David Yang, Professor at the Department of Economics, Harvard University, and Professor Wu Xinbo, Dean of the IIS Fudan and Director of the CAS Fudan.

“Bridging Digital Divides: Navigating Data Governance and Security in the U.S.-China Technological Arena” are co-authored by Zhe Tian (Fudan Lead), Aqib Zakaria (Harvard Lead), Adam Latif, Shefali Prakesh, Liliana Price, Oscar Zijie Wei, Cerena Wu, Zhenyang Wu, Luke Yuan, and Yuchen Zhang.

“Green Industrial Policy: Promoting U.S.-China Collaboration on Advancing Environmental Goals” are co-authored by Gunnhildur Hallgrímsdóttir (Harvard Lead), Guli Zhu (Fudan Lead), Ruoyun Bao, Cody Chou, Enhui Cui, Anna Gamburd, Maria Pape, Fujia Sun, Jingge Wang, Yi Yuan.
