From April 9 to April 14, 2024, the Center for China’s Relations with Neighboring Countries at Fudan University (CCRNC Fudan) conducted a work visit to Hanoi, Vietnam. The delegation, led by Professor Zhao Weihua, the director of the Center, also included Associate Professors Xue Song and Wen Yao. During their stay, the CCRNC delegation visited local academic institutions such as the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences. These visits fostered extensive discussions on a variety of topics, including enhancing academic partnerships between Chinese and Vietnamese universities, the development of the Network of ASEAN-China Academic Institutes (NACAI), pragmatic bilateral cooperation, and regional economic development. The CCRNC is the initiator, co-founder, and permanent secretariat of the NACAI. With a dedicated focus on Southeast Asian studies, the Center has dispatched delegations to visit academic institutions in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand, thereby enhancing scholarly networks and promoting regional understanding.
