On August 23-24, 2019, the 7th National Youth Forum on American Studies was convened at Center for American Studies, Fudan University. Professor WU Xinbo, Director of the Center for American Studies and Dean of the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University, Professor WU Baiyi, Chief of the Institute of American Studies Affiliated to Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Professor YUAN Peng, Dean of China Institutes of Contemporary International Studies presided over the opening ceremony and Professor WU addressed the welcome remarks. TAO Wenzhao, Professor at the Institute of American Studies Affiliated to Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, XU Yihua, Professor at the Center for American Studies of Fudan University, CUI Liru, Professor and former Dean of China Institutes of Contemporary International Studies, and YANG Jiemian, Director of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies Academic Committee delivered thematic presentations.

Academics and scholars from the Institute of American Studies Affiliated to Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Institutes of Contemporary International Studies, Peking University, Wuhan University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University probed into specific issues and advanced penetrating insights concerning the latest developments of Sino-U.S. Relations, trends of domestic politics and economy in the United States as well as changes of American foreign policy. Professor SONG Guoyou, Professor XIN Qiang, Professor WEI Zongyou, Associate Professor TU Yichao and Associate Professor WANG Xiaofeng presented attendance at the event, proactively engaging in the thematic panels at the forum.   (Preceding English Paragraphs by Mao Xiaojun)
