On the afternoon of April 14, 2025, Prof. Widodo, Rector of Universitas Brawijaya in Indonesia, led a delegation to visit the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University (IIS Fudan). The meeting was held at the Conference Room on the first floor of the Japanese Studies Center of IIS Fudan. The delegation was received by Prof. Qi Huaigao, Vice Dean of IIS Fudan; Assoc. Prof. Xue Song of IIS Fudan; Ms. Bai Yun, Executive Director of the Southeast Asia and Common Market Research Center at Fudan International School of Finance; and Panji Prabowo, an Indonesian Ph.D. candidate from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University. Dr. Yudil Chatim, Education and Cultural Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in China, accompanied the visit.

During the talks, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on potential collaboration in joint research and field research stations. Prof. Qi Huaigao provided a comprehensive overview of Fudan University and the Institute of International Studies. Assoc. Prof. Xue Song highlighted the existing cooperative achievements between the Institute and Indonesian academic institutions. The Universitas Brawijaya delegation expressed interest in deepening collaboration in regional studies, halal economy, and Indonesian cultural studies.
