Key Cooperative Research Institute for Policy Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the P.R.C (2022-2024)

IIS Fudan is an active participant in international academic exchange. IISFudan regularly hosts 4 international dialogues, including U.S.-ChinaDiplomatic Dialogue, China-U.S. University Think Tank Dialogue,Russian-Chinese Dialogue and China-India Relations Dialogue. Besides, IIS Fudan initiated two international academic networks, including the Network of ASEAN-China Academic Institutes and the JIIA-Fudan Conference.

IIS Fudan sticks to the goingout strategy, encouraging its faculty to travel far and learn more. As a vital voice in American studies internationally, Prof. Wu Xinbo led delegations to visit America and conducted field investigations in December 2012, July-August 2013, April 2014, July 2015, July 2016, November 2018 and December 2019. Furthermore, IIS faculty paid academic visits to academic partners worldwide.

IIS Fudan welcomes government leaders, political figures and top notched scholars to exchange with Fudan faculty and students, including Mamnoon Hussain (Pakistan president, 2013-2018), Jimmy Carter (American president, 1977-1981), Kevin Michael Rudd  (Australian premier, 2007-2010), Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (Indonesian President, 2004-2014), Prof. Ezra Feivel Vogel, etc.

IIS Fudan maintains good relationships with widely acknowledged publishers, facilitating the IIS faculty’s international publicity. IIS Fudan and Taylor & Francis arranged Roundtable Conference twice in 2021. 

IIS Fudan provides scholarships to inspire young academics’ possibilities in research. Through the “Swire/Cathay Pacific Scholarship Academic Visitor/Visiting Fellow” Program, 5 IIS faculty conducted their research at St. Antony’s College, University of Oxford for a year respectively.
