On the afternoon of March 26th, 2024, during the Fudan University Annual Humanities and Social Sciences Research Award Ceremony, the Center for American Studies, led by Professor Wu Xinbo, Dean of the Institute of International Studies and Director of the Center for American Studies at Fudan University, was awarded “Fudan University's Outstanding Research Team of 2023 (Humanities and Social Sciences).”
Representing the outstanding research teams in humanities and social sciences across the university, Professor Wu delivered a speech titled Constructing the National Team for American Studies. He highlighted the team's approach, which utilizes research projects as the main thrust to achieve excellent results. Professor Wu emphasized their efforts in actively promoting organized research, continuously enhancing their decision-making advisory capabilities, strengthening international academic dialogues and exchanges, and focusing on shaping public opinion. He announced that the establishment of the Joint Institute for American Studies of the Ministry of Education of the PRC marks a new beginning in their efforts to build a national team for American studies.
