On 2 August 2025, entrusted by the Chinese Consulate General in Medan, the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University (IIS Fudan) received a delegation of media representatives from Indonesia's Sumatra region. The delegation visited the Fudan University History Museum and Art Museum, gaining deeper insights into the university’s development and international engagement, particularly regarding the academic and campus life of Indonesian students.

During the visit, the delegates spoke highly of Fudan’s educational philosophy and rich academic heritage. They noted that the visit had deepened their understanding of China’s higher education system and promoted mutual understanding in China–Indonesia people-to-people exchanges. Some members of the delegation have published reports on the visit through their respective media platforms, generating positive responses.
Recently, the Institute received a letter of appreciation from the Chinese Consulate General in Medan, commending the Institute’s warm reception and thoughtful arrangements, and expressing the hope for continued cooperation in advancing China–Indonesia friendship.
