On September 18, 2025, the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum opened at the Beijing International Convention Center. Chinese Minister of National Defense Dong Jun attended the opening ceremony and delivered the keynote speech. This year’s forum was held under the official theme “Upholding International Order and Promoting Peaceful Development.” The event welcomed more than 1,800 participants, including official representatives, experts, and observers from over 100 countries and international organizations.
Professor Wu Xinbo, Dean of the Institute of International Studies and Director of the Center for American Studies at Fudan University, was invited to participate in the forum. He engaged in an in‑depth dialogue on China–U.S. relations with Chad Sbragia, Research Fellow at the Institute for Defense Analyses and former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, during the forum’s “High‑end Interviews” session themed “The Right Way for Major Countries to Get Along.” He also attended a Seminar titled“Opportunities and Challenges of China‑US Relations.”
During the forum, Professor Wu was interviewed by multiple media outlets, including CCTV, PLA Daily, Global Times, and The Observer.
