January 20, 2018 saw the full year of the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of the United States. In the past year, what notable changes have arisen in U.S. domestic politics, economy and society? What important adjustments have been made to the U.S. foreign policy? What impact has “The Trump Phenomenon” brought to America and its relationship with the outside world? Following the first research report entitled Where is the United States of America going? which centered on the trends of American domestic foreign policies and was issued in December,2017, Collaborative Innovation Center for New Model of China-U.S. Major-Country Relationship , Fudan University has launched the research report entitled Elucidations on the First Year of the Donald Trump-Led U.S. Administration, conducting all-dimensional, multi-perspective and in-depth analysis and researches on the first year of the Trump Administration. Authorized by Center for American Studies and Collaborative Innovation Center for New Model of China-U.S. Major-Country Relationship, Fudan University, the research report has been released in full text correspondingly.
The research report was taken the lead and chiefly-edited by Professor Wu Xinbo, Executive Director and chief expert at Collaborative Innovation Center for New Model of China-U.S. Major-Country Relationship, Director of Center for American Studies and Dean, Institute of International Studies of Fudan University and Professor Da Wei, chief expert at Collaborative Innovation Center for New Model of China-U.S. Major-Country Relationship and assistant to the president of University of International Relations, jointly accomplished by 16 experts and scholars from Fudan University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Institute of American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Institute of American Studies, China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations and PLA Academy of Military Sciences, reflecting the crystallization of collective wisdom.
