Dr. Feng Yujun is Professor and Vice Dean, Institute of International Studies, and Director at the Center for Russian and Central Asian Studies, Fudan University. He was former director, researcher, doctoral supervisor and academic member of the Russian Institute of the Chinese Academy of Modern International Relations, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Association for the History of Sino-Russian Relations, Executive Director of the Chinese-Russian Association of Friendship, the Central Asian Society of Eastern Europe of China, the Research Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization of China, Adjunct Research Fellows of China International Studies Foundation, Peking University, China Foreign Affairs Univeristy, Shandong University and Sichuan University. Born in 1970, he graduated from Hebei University, Jilin University and China Foreign Affairs University respectively, with bachelor's degree in history, master's degree in history and doctor's degree in law. He was a visiting scholar at Vladimir National Normal University, Russia in 2000-2001, a visiting scholar at Moscow University in 2005-2006, a visiting fellow at Slavic Research Center of Hokkaido University, Japan, 2010-2011. He is mainly engaged in Russian-Eurasian issues, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, relations between major powers, international energy security and diplomacy, security around China and theoretical research on Russian international relations. delivering a large number of research reports and academic papers on the above issues and undertaking research projects. Prof. Feng's research domains encompass: Russian Foreign Decision-making Mechanism, Russian National Security Decision-making Mechanism, Russian Development Prospects and Trends of Sino-Russian Relations, Russian Foreign Think Tank, Russian Oil and Gas Politics and China in Central Asia, Shanghai Cooperation Organization: New Security Concept and New Mechanism, Centennial Sino-Russian Relations, etc. The main translations are: Russian Strategy: President's Agenda, Contemporary Russian International Relations. He has published more than 100 papers in well-known academic journals at home and abroad, presenting regular interviews with China Central Television, Phoenix Satellite TV, China Radio International , BBC, NHK and other internationally renowned media.
