Professor Hu is Director at Center for Japanese Studies, Fudan University. In 1991, He received his Ph.D. in international politics from Fudan University and Aichi University, and then joined the Center for Japanese Studies, Fudan University. He served as visiting fellow at Bejing Center for Japaese Studies, visiting professor at Nagano University, foreigner researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, Tokyo Univesity, visiting professor at Law School, Soka University, visiting professor at Institute for Research in Humanities, Kyoto University, and visiting profeesor at the University of Hongkong.
