President Xi Jinping hosted a state dinner for President Trump at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the evening of May 14, 2026. Wu Xinbo, dean of the Institute of International Studies and director of the Center for American Studies at Fudan University, was among the invited guests and exchanged views with members of the U.S. delegation during the event. After the dinner, Wu also spoke to CCTV, offering his analysis of the summit between the two leaders.
